Crisfield - Marketing Plan Consulting Services
Posted 11/1/19 - Closes 11/22/19
The City of Crisfield is a small, impoverished, town with a working waterfront community. Most businesses are small and family owned. Business hours are often unpredictable or difficult for visitors to find information on, in part because businesses may not have an on-line presence. Crisfield is a twenty minute drive from Route 13, and is at the end of a road so must serve as a destination – visitors will not pass it on the way to another destination unless they are traveling by ferry to Smith or Tangier Island. Visitors who come to town and cannot find any businesses or restaurants open are often discouraged and may not return to town. Visitors also may be unaware of businesses that are open but not easily visible from Route 413, the main road into town.
The City of Crisfield is developing a marketing plan and business information app with the goal of supporting local businesses, many of which currently do not have a strong online presence. Full details.
