Working with the Courts

Some jurisdictions have not been successful in their local courts. This may be a matter of educating your local bench as to how the law can be applied to banks despite their institution not being the owner of record. Baltimore City, for instance, has had reasonable success enforcing property maintenance and blight remediation cases against banks directly.

If you have not done so previously, consider making an appointment with your local circuit court administrative judge to ask what you can do to ensure that nuisance and other municipal code provisions are applied appropriately in your local circuit court.
