Pre-bid Meeting: A pre-bid meeting will be held on July 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Town of Edmonston Offices, 5005 52nd Avenue, Edmonston, MD 20781

Sealed proposals addressed to the Town of EDMONSTON, Maryland,. 5005 52nd Avenue, Edmonston, MD 20781 will be received at the Town Hall front desk until 2:00 pm on July 31, at which time bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids in part or in full, and waive any technical information as may best serve the interest of the Town.

Mount Rainier – Auditing Services

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for Independent Audit and Financial Reporting Services to the City of Mount Rainier. The City is seeking sealed proposals from qualified certified public accountant (CPA) firms to conduct a financial statement audit for the City of Mount Rainier for 3 fiscal years ending June 30, 2017 through June 30, 2019. The City of Mount Rainier is on an expedited timeline in awarding this contract. Currently, the City is late in submitting its audit to the State of Maryland for the year ending June 30, 2017. Mount Rainier is looking for a CPA firm who can handle performing two audits consecutively. The City is explicitly searching for an auditing firm that will be able to handle a Finance Department in transition. The City intends to complete the financial audit for the year ended June 30, 2017 as soon as possible and immediately after complete the financial audit for the year ended June 30, 2018. Audit firms with a detailed timeline and plan of action on how to make the City current on its audit submissions will be given preference.

MDE - Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Sediment Reductions

The Clean Water Commerce Act (CWCA) passed by the Maryland General Assembly during the 2017 Session (SB314/HB417) expanded the uses of the Bay Restoration Fund to include the costs associated with the purchase of cost-effective nitrogen, phosphorus, or sediment load reductions in support of the State’s efforts to restore the health of the Chesapeake Bay, not to exceed $6,000,000 in fiscal year 2019, and $10,000,000 in fiscal years 2020 and 2021. The nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment load reductions purchased cannot come from the agriculture sector and must be created by July 1, 2017. MDE may enter into any contract until June 30, 2021. The contract may last as long as the expected life of the best management practice resulting from nutrient load reductions. Full details.
