

Training Municipal & County Officials
MML is a founding partner of the Academy for Excellence in Local Governance, a voluntary certificate training program in partnership with the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy for municipal and county officials designed to help public officials meet the challenges of their roles.
Program Requirements
Participants in the municipal track must complete nine core classes in topics ranging from the basics of risk management to the structure of municipal government as well as elective courses offered under broad categories such as land use planning, human resources, and personnel administration.
