The State of Maryland's Website for NEUs

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) has allocated approximately $528.96M in Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CLFRFs) to Non-Entitlement Units (NEUs) of Local Government, as defined in section 603(g)(5) of the Social Security Act. Under ARPA, the State of Maryland is required to distribute funds and requirements to NEUs within 30 days upon receipt of CLFRFs from the US Treasury. Funds will be distributed in two tranches, with the initial allocation (50 percent of total allocation) disbursed upfront and the second allocation to follow 12 months later.

Expedited Payment Information

The funding for non-entitlement governments under the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund will come through the State of Maryland.  To expedite this funding, the State requests that towns and cities submit the ACH/Direct Deposit Authorization form to receive electronic payments.  Please complete the attached form and submit with any required attachments via email to Robert.Corless@maryland.gov.

If you already receive electronic payments, please verify this information and provide your Federal Identification Number via email to Robert.Corless@maryland.gov.
