Maryland Nonprofits invites municipalities to make use of their Model ARPA Grant Program should your town seek to award Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CLFRF) to nonprofit organizations helping local communities address the health and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maryland Nonprofits’ “Model Grant Program” is designed to make it easy for governments to develop and manage a grant program – even if they do not have a lot of experience in this area. This model grant process is customizable allowing for direct grantmaking or partnering with an intermediary, like a community foundation or charitable trust, to run the process.
By using their process guide and sample attachments, municipalities can quickly stand up a grantmaking process or add a layer to your current grantmaking process to ensure that CLFRF funding is efficiently and equitably distributed in your communities. The Maryland Nonprofits Model Grant Program is available for use by local governments and nonprofits without charge, with attribution to Maryland Nonprofits.
