[ARCHIVED] ARPA Reporting Updates from Maryland’s NEU Technical Assistance Team

Last Thursday, the Treasury released a webinar walking through, step-by-step, the submission of the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) Project and Expenditure report for Non-Entitlement Units (NEUs) that are selecting the standard allowance under the revenue loss provision. We recommend reviewing this brief (23 minute) webinar to ensure that all required steps to submit your report are taken. Treasury will be releasing an additional step-by-step webinar for recipients who are using non-revenue loss expenditure categories.

As a reminder, all NEUs are required to submit a Project and Expenditure Report even if no funds have yet been spent, along with the required NEU documentation, in Treasury's portal by April 30th. NEUs are also required to indicate if they will be electing the Standard Allowance, and those NEUs that have not obligated or spent any SLFRF funds will need to provide a narrative describing the reason(s) your jurisdiction does not have approved projects at this time.

If your NEU has not done so already, we recommend accessing the portal, uploading the required documentation, and beginning to complete the Project and Expenditure Report. Please also review Treasury's webinar on accessing the portal and submitting required documentation if you have not already completed these steps.

The Maryland NEU Technical Assistance team is available during NEU Office Hours, which are now available Tuesdays (10-11:00 a.m.), Thursdays (3-4:00 p.m.) AND Wednesdays (3:30-4:30 p.m.) to answer any questions you may have on reporting, accessing Treasury’s Portal, submitting the required NEU Documentation, or other questions. You can find details on the State’s NEU Resource Page.
