The parade of city and town flags will again be an exciting part of the MML Conference Opening General Session. The flag parade will be held on Monday morning, June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Each participating municipality must designate an elected or appointed official (no children please) as flag bearer to present their municipal colors.
To date, the following municipalities have registered for the 2019 flag parade (as of 5/6/19): Northwest Region: Oakland, Cumberland, Hampstead Central and Northeast Region: Friendship Heights, North East, Bel Air, Gaithersburg, Perryville Prince George’s County: Berwyn Heights, Capitol Heights, New Carrollton, College Park, Colmar Manor, Cottage City, Forest Heights, Morningside, Mount Rainier, Edmonton Eastern Shore: Cambridge, Queenstown, Ridgely, Betterton, Barclay, Federalsburg, Pocomoke City, Princess Anne, Galena, Henderson
If you have not yet signed up for the parade of flags, please click here to sign up. As a reminder, the flag parade rehearsal will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24 and is MANDATORY for participants. Please be sure that your flag bearer DOES NOT have a conflict with four other workshops (Ethics (Academy core), Financial Statements 101, Aging in Place, and Opioid Overdose Response Training) being held at the same time as the rehearsal. ALL FLAG BEARERS MUST ATTEND THE REHEARSAL - NO EXCEPTIONS!!
