The Maryland Department of Planning (Planning) and the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association have been working to bring a free Southern Maryland planning training to a location convenient to you! If you are new to your Planning Commission Board, or just want a refresher course, come join us from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 25 at the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown. The Planning Commission, Planning Board and Board of Appeals Education Course, led by staff from Planning, satisfies the state requirement for planning commission and board members and members of boards of appeals, per Section 1-206 of the Land Use Article.
