The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) provided updated estimates of the distribution of highway user revenues (HUR) to municipalities for FY 20 and FY 21. Distributions decrease in both fiscal years compared to prior estimates as a result of inputs that contribute to the funding of HUR (gas tax, vehicle registration, titling fees) decrease due to changes in driver behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic.
