The Maryland General Assembly passed Governor Hogan’s RELIEF Act of 2021 last week and the bill was officially signed into law on Monday, February 15. Today, the Comptroller’s Office began processing more than $200 million in stimulus payments to struggling Maryland taxpayers, unemployment insurance claimants, small businesses and non-profit organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Comptroller's office has created a “Maryland RELIEF” page on their website, which features a portal where taxpayers can check their eligibility for payments, read Frequently Asked Questions, and find information on how to contact the Comptroller’s Office for additional assistance. Materials are also available in Spanish. In addition, we have established a dedicated email and phone number for RELIEF Act questions - ReliefAct@marylandtaxes.gov and 1-833-345-0787.
