"If I were Mayor..." Essay Contest

This year's MMA sponsored essay contest theme will be "Reimagine tomorrow".  All elementary schools will receive their packets in January so be sure you are  reaching out to them now about how you could help promote the contest.  Resources are also available on the MML website.  

Oh dear

Oh deer!

Do your residents ever complain about the deer?  DNR states that many people incorrectly presume that these animals belong in the deep woods, and the ones wandering into our neighborhoods are refugees displaced by residential, commercial, or agricultural development. In fact, development actually creates better habitat for deer. 

Maryland Marina

Does your town have a marina?

Owners and managers of marinas, boatyards, and yacht clubs are invited to attend a free seminar to learn about becoming certified Maryland Clean Marinas. The program will provide details on commonly needed permits and plans, and an informative session on the impacts of plastic marine debris on Maryland’s waterways.
